My name is Dan Robin and I am the candidate of the Libertarian Party of Illinois for Attorney General. I am qualified for this office, not because I am an attorney but because I am a libertarian. I believe in the right of the individual to act with the greatest amount of liberty as long as he or she does not violate the rights and/or property of another.
Although I am new to politics, I am not new to the law as I was a practicing attorney for 45 years. (I retired from practicing in August of 2021.) Nor am I new to the blessings of liberty. I am the author of a book: The Libertarian War on Poverty – Repairing the Ladder of Upward Mobility. In that book, I present the statistical conclusion, based upon longitudinal studies, that over a lifetime, economic mobility is alive and well. The greatest impediment to upward mobility is government regulation. Life is never perfect and bad stuff happens to all of us, but people along with their family, friends and neighbors are resourceful, clever and hard working. Get out of their way and poverty will hopefully be each individuals moment in their rear view mirror.
Campaigning will be difficult because I will have to balance my time between that and my other loves: my wife, my son, tennis, triathlon and gardening. Maybe I’ll show up to a campaign event on my bicycle or still in my tennis or gardening digs.
With your help I hope to make Illinois into a refuge of liberty.
